Treatment Options
We believe that comprehensive care involves various treatment options and choices for our patients. In many cases, the best treatment for dental malocclusion involves adjunctive therapies other than just a set of braces. Our patient care approach is one that aims to improve the overall health of your smile, and correct the problem where it starts - not just covering up the side effects of crooked teeth.

Some of our treatment options include:

Dentofacial Orthopedics
What is dentofacial orthopedics? This method involves normalizing the growth patterns of a child’s bone structure as they grow. Differences in the jaws and tooth locations can be guided as the child grows, preventing orthodontic complications later on. In most cases, we complete this treatment in two different phases, with the first phase at a young age. This encourages healthy oral development and minimizes the need for lengthy or invasive treatments after the child’s mouth grows and matures.

Some examples of dentofacial orthopedics that we use are:

• Palatal expanders
• Lower lingual arches
• Herbst appliances
• Space mainainers
Jaw Surgery
From time to time, it may be necessary to perform surgical therapy that repositions or guides the jaw into a different functioning pattern. If a jaw is too short, narrow, or long, the teeth and the patient’s smile suffer. Surgeries on the jaw can correct biting relationships as well as improve the facial profile of our patients.
Invisalign
Invisalign braces are a series of clear alignment trays that reposition the teeth gradually over time, the same way braces do. However, Invisalign offers many benefits over traditional orthodontics! Some of these include:

• Comfortable aligners that do not irritate your lips or cheeks
• Ability to remove the aligners during meals or for home hygiene
• Fewer, shorter, more comfortable orthodontic appointments

Both adults and teens love Invisalign, because it’s one of the most convenient and comfortable ways to straighten their teeth. There are no brackets or wires involved!
